創業135年、龍工房(東京・日本橋)5代目 着物の帯締めでは皇室や梨園・和文化界隈に数多くのファンを持ち、近年ではレディー・ガガのヒールレスシューズを代表作にもつ舘鼻氏とコラボして制作した「KUMIHIMO Heel-less Shoes」や海外メゾンの店舗ディスプレイなど、組紐の可能性を追求し続けている。

Edo Braided Cord

Ryukobo, established 135 years ago in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, is a maker of decorative cords that hold kimono sashes in place. In the hands of the fifth generation, the company has countless fans in the Imperial household and the world of Kabuki theatre and culture. Constantly in pursuit of new potential for braided cords, recent works by the artisan can be found in overseas boutique displays and include the ‘KUMIHIMO Heel-less Shoes’ produced in collaboration with Noritaka Tatehana, designer of Lady Gaga’s avant-garde heel-less shoes.
